Bhagavad-Gita is universally renowned as The Jewel of India's spiritual wisdom. Its 700 concise verses provide a definitive guide to the science of self-identification.

Literally translated the Bhagavad-Gita means ‘Song of God.' It has been passed down verbally through generations before actually been committed to written verse.

The ‘Gita' provides answers to human ‘Jigyasa'-curiosity- being the quest for knowledge arising from the inner self without which it is not possible to understand the universal presence of our maker.

Bhaishri

Originally composed in Sanskrit (the most ancient of languages), The Bhagavad-Gita is the conversation between Lord Krishna (God) and his warrior friend Arjuna (symbol of man) spoken before the outbreak of a battle (the battle of life) in which Arjuna stands (unwillingly and unable to do the right thing) and Krishna inspires him by clearly placing life and duty within the cosmic order of the universe.

These are all daunting facts and the layman might wonder if he can understand the conversation or why it is addressed to him. Yes, indeed yes, for the core messages of God to man are simply directly addressed almost as if he is speaking to you or me.

The Gita was unknown in the Western world until the end of the 18th Century but since then it has influenced many of its great thinkers.
